In 2025, you need to be using a landing page for your paid campaigns. In the increasingly competitive digital landscape you need to stand out with tailored messages, relevance to queries and optimised funnels. The easiest way to do so is by using a Landing Page builder, separate from your usual website editor.

Why Use A Landing Page?
A well-designed landing page can generate up to 10 times more leads than directing traffic to your homepage.

Where would you use your homepage vs your landing page?
Your homepage will receive a broad range of traffic from organic, social to direct. While your landing page receives traffic from paid campaigns. Unlike with organic or social you know what your paid traffic is looking for, who they are and can tailor a page that is “optimised” for them.

But with numerous landing page builders available, choosing the right one for your business can be challenging. Let’s dive deep into three leading platforms that stand out in 2025.

Unbounce: The Premium Powerhouse

What Makes Unbounce Stand Out

Unbounce has established itself as the market leader in landing page builders, offering the most comprehensive toolset available. It’s the precision tool in the landing page builder arsenal, perfect for businesses that need granular control over their pages.

Key Features

  • Advanced JavaScript and CSS access
  • Extensive integration capabilities
  • Comprehensive A/B split testing tools
  • Customizable mobile view editor
  • Rich selection of templates

The Drawbacks

  • Steeper learning curve compared to competitors
  • Premium features locked behind higher pricing tiers
  • Mobile responsiveness requires manual adjustment
  • Pricing structure based on visitor limits
  • More complex than necessary for basic needs

Let’s do a bit of comparison and commentary regarding Unbounce, it definitely is what it says on the box, a sophisticated, customisable tool that can be used to make frankly, any sort of page you want.

That is true but if we’re being honest most businesses have no need for the advanced tools that Unbounce is offering, which in theory should be fine. You can use the lower priced plans but there are CRITICAL features missing.

Unbounce Editor

Everything on the lower plan, which to be clear is expensive at $99 per month is going to force you up. You have a visit limit set at 10,000 and no access to critical features. For any decent sized campaign split testing your landing page is critical.

Why would you want to split test your landing pages?

Motion graphic showing how A/B Testing works.

Split testing is critical to find out what marketing angles, messages, images and offers your traffic resonates with, this is missing from the lower tiers of Unbounce.

Most people, all they need is the editor, split testing and a higher visitor limit with no need for the advanced features, but Unbounce will force a higher price onto you regardless.

Is Unbounce Right for You?

Think of Unbounce as a precision rifle when most businesses need a shotgun. Unless you specifically require its advanced features, you might be paying for capabilities you’ll never use. The platform is ideal for marketing agencies and large businesses with complex needs, but might be overkill for smaller operations.

Leadpages: Beautiful Simplicity

Why Choose Leadpages

For businesses seeking the perfect balance between functionality and ease of use, Leadpages shines. It’s been a reliable player in the market for years, offering an intuitive interface without sacrificing essential features.

For me, personally Leadpages has always been the go to. It has not changed that much in years. The editor in my opinion is perfect, I call it “beautiful simplicity” it guides your hand in making pages that convert, look nice and feel nice.

I particularly like it as it’s so easy to use that I can comfortably use it with clients and they can easily edit or alter their own pages.

It’s also half the price of Unbounce.

Systeme.io: Up & Coming

A Fresh Approach

As the newest platform in our comparison, Systeme.io is disrupting the market with its comprehensive free tier and all-in-one marketing solution approach.

Systeme.io Workflow dashboard

Systeme is a little bit of the new kid on the block, now don’t get me wrong. It’s old with nearly 10 years since it was founded in 2015, which is simliar to Leadpages actually which was founded in 2012.

But, I’ve never come across Systeme until recently and I see people mention it more now, so I presume it’s become more popular recently and that’s for good reason.

It has a lot of stand out features, its pricing is extremely competitive and offers the lowest prices for features out of any of the tools we talked about here, it also has the most features that target a really wide array of business, from online courses to physical products.

It also is the only page builder I know of that offers a completely legitimate free tier. You can run a full on campaign on the free tier with no need to upgrade.

Systeme Editor

But, let’s not get ahead of ourselves as it has some serious shortcomings. It does not have the polish of something like Leadpages or the focus and functionality of Unbounce.

There is also in platform courses, they look quite sleazy. Didn’t check them for merit as the overall platform seems to lean towards appealing to affiliate sales, offering an all in one platform for affiliates but the platform definitely has merit beyond that.

Systeme Student Portal

Standout Features

  • Generous free plan with custom domain support
  • Built-in affiliate system
  • Integrated email marketing tools
  • Sales funnel creation capabilities
  • Online course hosting functionality
  • Community marketplace for affiliates

Notable Aspects

  • Complete marketing suite rather than just a page builder
  • Transparent affiliate marketplace
  • Basic but functional email editor
  • Comprehensive integration options
  • Cost-effective scaling options

Let’s not be too nice to Systeme.io. During the writing of this guide the website was literally down. I can’t verify how often this is the case but this outage is a bad look.

500 Error for Systeme Site
Can’t edit pages

To expand on the above. The dashboard worked and it loaded, but the landing pages and their front end gave a 500 error. I don’t actually think that’s a deal breaker. I don’t think there’s such a thing as a bad product, more so a bad price. I think the sticker price of free for all the hosting and tools they provide gives them a lot of leeway in terms of not having a flawless 99.9% uptime.

Perfect For

Systeme.io is ideal for:

  • Startups on a budget
  • Digital product creators
  • Affiliate marketers
  • Small businesses testing paid traffic
  • Entrepreneurs needing an all-in-one solution

I think in particular, Systeme seems amazing for a small business looking to test paid traffic. You have a very limited upfront investment in getting a page up and running and you can focus your budget on the app and just have a page that hopefully works. The more price sensitive you are, the more systeme will appeal to you.

Final Thoughts

The landscape of landing page builders continues to evolve going into 2025, with each platform offering unique advantages. Consider starting with a free trial of your chosen platform to ensure it meets your requirements before making a long-term commitment.
